Thanks Bill. Great to see the Bush-hen is still hanging around. Certainly a rarity around here and one I'm glad to have out of the way for the Challenge. Now find us a few crakes and rails!

Bill Jolly saw and photographed a Black-eared Cuckoo at "Abberton", Helidon, yesterday (8/1/06).

John Hadley and Michael Wode reported 8 Freckled Duck at Pechey Swamp in the Lockyer Valley yesterday as well.

Crimson Rosella

Saw a single bird in Queen's Park, Toowoomba, yesterday.

This species is seldom reported locally but appears to be resident around Queens Park. Interested to know who else has seen them locally, where and when, and if there are any breeding records.
