Grey Goshawk - 1, Swift Parrots - Nil.

Post by Mick Atzeni »

For this weekend's national Swift Parrot/Regent Honeyeater survey, checked out parts of the Upper Lockyer & Murphys Creek district yesterday, and Glen Lomond Park on the southern end of the Toowowomba escarpment this morning.

For those that aren't aware, Swift Parrots were present in Glen Lomond Park during Winter 2000 when the Yellow Box was heavily in flower, but to the best of my knowledge have never returned there. No suitable blossom around today so, not surprisingly, no Swift Parrots either.

Did pick up a Grey Goshawk overhead though. Always good to see!

Cheers
