Kilcowera Station - best summer rain in 20 years.

Post by Toni »

Hi all, we have had 242 mls of rain since Christmas and the place is looking fantastic. There are so many different types of grasses growing and birds everywhere. Frogs too and a few snakes about.

Went for a little fly yesterday and took lots of photos some of which I have put on my blog.

Lake Wyara is coming along nicely with lots of water in it now. When those creeks ran at Christmas time they took all the new fences with them. When we can get out there we have about 6 big flood fences to renew.

For the moment we still can't get across Cardenyabba Creek and the Lagoon has so much water in it that it is backed up all over the paddock. We still can't drive a vehicle down to the Shearers Quarters as there is still water all around that too. Still it's a nice problem to have. Cheers Toni[/img]
