White-faced Heron

Just noticed a White-faced heron flying very rapidly past my kitchen window, a first for 25 years in our backyard. He stopped for a breather in our neighbour's tree and then took off again at great speed. I suspected he had been chased here by a raptor, but was not able to verify this.
