I can't believe it has been nearly four years since we moved to Balgal Beach. I have one more assignment to submit
and a 6 week placement in Townsville ICU and my Degree will be done. We hope to spend a lot more time travelling
and birding from next year onward.
Some new birds since we moved here - Cassowary, Macleay's Honeyeater, Rufous-throated Honeyeater, (just up the road), Palm Cockatoo & Eclectus Parrot, Golden-shouldered Parrot, Papuan Frogmouth, Rufous-banded Honeyeater, Frill-necked Monarch (Cape York trip), Hooded Parrot, Northern Rosella, Rainbow Pitta (NT trip), Olive-backed Sunbird (nesting on clothesline), Golden Bowerbird, Bridled Honeyeater, Pied Monarch (Paluma), Lovely Fairy-wren, Dusky Honeyeater, Crimson Finch, Fairy Gerygone, Black-chinned Honeyeater, Dusky Honeyeater, Yellow Honeyeater, Yellow-spotted Honeyeater (at house), Greater and Lesser Frigatebird (down at the beach).
Hope to submit some photos soon.
Cheers,
Steve
