Eastern Rosella (Lesley Beaton)

Same rules apply as for the "250 in 2006" Challenge. Seems 250's no pushover locally, especially in a drought! Nevertheless, 250's achievable and will continue to remain our annual target. Report sightings ASAP for everyone's benefit.

And from now on we'll just refer to it as "The Challenge".

Eastern Rosella (Lesley Beaton)

Post by Mick Atzeni »

Eastern Rosella feeding with Pale-headed Rosellas on footpath of Skyline Drive, Blue Mountain Heights in December - definitely an Eastern, not a juvenile PHR. I have taken it for an escapee as there are one or two
aviaries in the area. Lesley.
We won't count this one for the Challenge but it's useful to know the whereabouts of probable escapees for future reference.

Incidentally, Eastern Rosellas have been recorded breeding just outside the area near Cooby Dam and Kleinton in recent years.
