Woodswallows

Same rules apply as for the "250 in 2006" Challenge. Seems 250's no pushover locally, especially in a drought! Nevertheless, 250's achievable and will continue to remain our annual target. Report sightings ASAP for everyone's benefit.

And from now on we'll just refer to it as "The Challenge".

Woodswallows

Post by Pat McConnell »

Kath and I saw a mixed flock of Masked and White-browed Woodswallows at Highfields on Tuesday 11 September. Most were White-browed but at least three were Masked. As I am writing this email there is a small flock over the Uni.

More Woodswallows (Rod Hobson)

Post by Mick Atzeni »

Rod reported seeing a mixed flock of White-browed and Masked Woodswallows over his Webb St home in Rangeville 2.30pm yesterday, then more over Camels's Hump at 3.40pm. They were still overhead for about the next 30mins hour as he made his way back up the road, until about the bridle trail.

Also reported seeing large numbers of Noisy Friarbirds lately in the flowering Brush Box.
