Spotted Python (Children's Python)

It's not their fault they don't have feathers! Doesn't make them any less interesting. And just like the birds, it's good to know what species are about locally at any given time.

There's expertise within the club and beyond on most aspects of our local fauna. Let's tap into it.

Spotted Python (Children's Python)

Post by Brendon & Judi Gray »

We had a sighting of a Spotted Python here at Kleinton on 21/04/11 at night while walking up to our shed. This is the first one that we have seen here, although our neighbours have mentioned seeing one before. They are a nocturnal species hence why we probably haven't come across it yet.

It wasn't really very happy to have the torch light upon it for photos!

Also today an Echidna was seen on the large rocks at the edge of the dam.
