Yellow-faced Whip Snake

It's not their fault they don't have feathers! Doesn't make them any less interesting. And just like the birds, it's good to know what species are about locally at any given time.

There's expertise within the club and beyond on most aspects of our local fauna. Let's tap into it.

Yellow-faced Whip Snake

Post by Brendon & Judi Gray »

Last weekend we had a positive sighting of a Yellow-faced Whip Snake at our Kleinton Property. The snake was coming out of some rocks that we have in a garden. It was fairly quiet and wasn't too worried about us watching it nearby.

We believe we have seen this snake before in the same location, but at the time we didn't get a good look at its face, so it remained un-identified. This brings us to #10 differerent snake species identified at our property so far in the 7 years that we have been here.

I got a few photos of the snake emerging from the rocks i the garden and put them on our blog. .://jarowairourpatch.blogspot.com.au ... 50312.html
