Eastern small-eyed snake

It's not their fault they don't have feathers! Doesn't make them any less interesting. And just like the birds, it's good to know what species are about locally at any given time.

There's expertise within the club and beyond on most aspects of our local fauna. Let's tap into it.

Eastern small-eyed snake

Post by Barb Learmonth »

We had an eastern small-eyed snake in our loungeroom on 10th Aug. It was about 50cm long and we moved it to Glen Lomond Park behind our house in Niddrie Dve, Middle Ridge, as a more appropriate place to live. We had another one in the garden the week before but it was dead. I have photos if anyone wants them. Thanks to Pat McConnell for helping us identify it.
