Black Falcon - North Toowoomba

Post by Mick Atzeni »

A Black Falcon was flying low over North St near the railway overpass around 8:35am this morning. Very nice start to the day!

Olive Booth and I also saw one feeding in a tree across the creek from the Gatton swimming pool on Sunday. A lifer for Olive.

Seems this once locally rare raptor has become relatively common. I'd be interested to look at the historic monthly data and know whether it has been the trend elsewhere in SE Qld.

Cheers
