Post by Mick Atzeni »

Here is some additional Blackbird information.

1. Cooby Dam – 20/09/1986. Adult male. Pat McConnell
2. Millmerran – 17/10/2005. Adult male. Graham Goodall
3. Highfields – 15/10/2003. Adult male. This was my first sighting although one of our Club members had seen them earlier in the year. Still looking for this record. The adult male I saw was also seen by Kath O’Donnell, Rod Hobson, Terry Reis, David Stewart and Chris Pavey.
4. Highfields – Blackbirds have now been resident at Highfields from 15/10/2003 to 22/06/2007 (this morning). Sightings of interest by Kath and myself are -
1. 17/10/2003 – Adult male and adult female
2. 19/04/2004 – Two adult males and one adult female
3. 11/03/2006 – Immature male
4. 15/10/2006 – Adult male and immature male
5. 23/10/2006 – Adult female gathering nesting material
6. 9/12/2006 – Two adult males
7. 6/04/2007 – Two adult males and one adult female
8. 14/04/2007 – Five birds seen; two adult males and three brown birds that I didn’t get a real good look at but suspect they were an adult female and two immature birds.

Regards

Pat
