Red tail Black Cockatoo
Today 18th April while going to the Gatton dump there were 20 or so birds in a gum tree at Allan Street at 10.30 AM and on the next load at 11AM they were flying around. When they left the dump about 11.30 AM. to go home the birds were gone, some flying east , but 4 were flying south west towards town but they didn't pass over the house so they don;t where they went to. Reported by Merle & Doug Horrocks who live behind the Gatton Golf Club. Merle said she's heard them nearly every day going over the house but doesn't always get out to see how many there are.most times there are only a couple.
