Saw 13 RTBCs today around 9:50am in Murphys Creek township - 11 feeding in a White Cedar opposite the railway station and two in a dead gum in Woden St behind the tavern.
One of my favourites; great to have them back.
Cheers

Not so common Upper Lockyer Red-tails
In stark contrast to all the sightings in Highfields and Toowoomba, the Red-tails sightings have been sparse down around home with only a couple of sightings to report since the ones at Murphys Creek on 6/1 above.
On 21/2, I had 3 birds over home mid-morning then, on 17/3 had 7 flying east along creek at 9am.
Apart from the two flocks which flew over Redwood Park 3/3 during FEP's open day, these are the only RTBC sightings I've had this year. I'm clearly sufferin' down here, so you guys on the hill better not be taking them for granted!
Cheers
