Tasmanian Wedge-Tail Eagles

Post by Brendon & Judi Gray »

Did anyone see the article on 60 minutes tonight about the logging of forrests in Tasmania for wood pulp? Was so devestating to hear that there are only 1500 Tasmanian Wedge-Tailed Eagles left and to also hear that the Tasmanian Devil is estimated to be extinct within 10 years if the forests continue to be so severely logged. The Tasmanian Wedge-Tailed Eagle is named after my Grand-fathers Cousin, David Fleay. He was a huge lover of the species and a pioneer of his time for animal rights and welfare. Unbelievable that this can happen in this era. Haven't we lost enough species of birds and animals due to human error? I urge people to send their thoughts to the Tasmanian Government before it is too late.
