Rufous Songlark

How many species can we collectively record during 2008? Can we better the past two years? Can we reach 250?? Same rules as previous years. Good luck!

Rufous Songlark

Post by Michael Wood »

On Sunday morning I spent quite a blowy morning at Birdwood Park, at the end of Baxters Road, Gowrie Junction. Quite a good birdlist was put together, including the rather surprising find of a Rufous Songlark on the south-eastern boundary, feeding with a mixed flock of Speckled Warbler, Double-barred Finch, Yellow-rumped Thornbill and White-browed Scrubwren. Unusual this time of year, I would have thought.
