Early Koel
Ross
I'm sure this would have to be one of the earliest arrivals on record! In fact, it's a winter record, and I don't recall any in the past. Well done
Interested to know if it hung around or was just in transit? It appears from the birding-aus records that they tend to overshoot SEQ and head further south, then backfill. Same for Channel-bills I gather.

Eastern Koel
Mick,
Yes, the Eastern Koel has stayed around since we first heard it at the end of August. Dan also heard sacred Kingfisher in late August. Dan saw a Channel-Bill over the house about a week ago and there was one here again yesterday afternoon.
