Additional rain-forest species.

Post by Rod Hobson »

Folks,

I've just arrived back from three days of microbat survey work in the Green Mountains section of Lamington National Park (09-11.01.09). Bat results were good and included the capture of one specimen of the rare Golden-tipped Bat (Kerivoula papuensis). Birding was only incidental. Nevertheless we got some good additions for the TBO 'Summer Beyond - 2008/09' list as under. Observers were Terry Reis, Richard Johnson and Rod Hobson:

Crimson Rosella
Satin Bowerbird
Regent Bowerbird
Large-billed Scrubwren
Wonga Pigeon
Eastern Spinebill
Regent Bowerbird
Yellow-throated Scrubwren
Green Catbird
Red-browed Finch
Varied Triller
Bassian Thrush
Australian Logrunner
Noisy Pitta
Rose-crowned Fruit-Dove
White-headed Pigeon
Russet-tailed Thrush

Regards,
Rod Hobson
