Apostlebirds 11.01.09 (Gayle Lee)

Thanks to replenishing rains in the Lockyer Valley, we're well placed for a record haul in 2009. No excuses why we can't give 250 spp a real shake. Over to you ...

Apostlebirds 11.01.09 (Gayle Lee)

Post by Mick Atzeni »

Apostlebirds are very localised around Toowoomba. Gayle's about the only one who sees and reports them regularly for the club's monthly recording scheme so I asked her recently where she sees them.

Here's the lowdown for anyone wishing to follow them up.
Dear Mick,

I often see the Apostle Birds out at Meringandan West when I go out to walk with a girlfriend,

I go most Sunday afternoons and so I would record most of my bird sightings on the first Sunday of the month.

This would be different for January as Valerie was away until the second Sunday in January (the 11th)

We often see large groups of them at the dump out there.

Hope this helps

Regards

Gayle
Thanks Gayle.

Mick
