Painted Button-Quail, Dusky Woodswallow

Thanks to replenishing rains in the Lockyer Valley, we're well placed for a record haul in 2009. No excuses why we can't give 250 spp a real shake. Over to you ...

Painted Button-Quail, Dusky Woodswallow

Post by Mick Atzeni »

Rod Hobson's Winter report of Painted Button-Quail along Table Top Drive on 9/7 also happens to be the first report for the year.

There was a small flock of Dusky Woodswallows in the bottom end of Redwood Park yesterday.

That brings us up to 203 spp so far, two shy of what we had this time last year. Last year we only ended up with 217 spp. Our best has been 227 spp in 2006. It won't be easy to beat. You know what's required.

Cheers
