Hoary-headed Grebes and Red-kneed Dotterel

Thanks to replenishing rains in the Lockyer Valley, we're well placed for a record haul in 2009. No excuses why we can't give 250 spp a real shake. Over to you ...

Hoary-headed Grebes and Red-kneed Dotterel

Post by Mick Atzeni »

Four Hoary-headed Grebes and a Red-kneed Dotterel on the large dam at the Helidon Spa this afternoon. Also a Buff-banded Rail

A few Black-fronted Dotterels, which have been scarce this year, and six Red-necked Avocets on the smaller dam.

Australian Reed Warbler and Grey-crowned Babblers in the trees and a pelican overhead.

A fruitful stop!
