Folks,

Spent a wet Monday this week at Oakview State Forest near Kilkivan, SEQ. Recorded the following birds around the old Forestry site on its northern boundary. New species for "Winter Beyond - 2009" marked with asterisk:

Brush Cuckoo *
Yellow-faced Honeyeater
Red-backed Fairy-wren *
Grey Fantail
Pied Currawong

Australian King Parrot
Rainbow Lorikeet
Mistletoebird
Fan-tailed Cuckoo
Striated Pardalote
Rufous Whistler
Double-barred Finch
Welcome Swallow
Silvereye
Wonga Pigeon

also Peaceful Dove * en route at Goomeri.
