Red-capped Robin and three more from Upper Lockyer

Post by Mick Atzeni »

Folks

Picked up 46 species at "Tiddalac" today (4/7), three of which were firsts for "Tiddalac" - Red-capped Robin, Striated Thornbill, Whistling Kite.

These four were new for winter:

Whistling Kite - one overhead; new for "Tiddalac" list
Collared Sparrowhawk - one overhead
Red-capped Robin - new for "Tiddalac" list; a stunning male; need I say more!
Tree Martin - have been fair numbers of martins over "Tiddalac" the past week or so but too high up to ID; finally got some at eye level this morning; Welcome Swallows, but no Fairy Martins, seen amongst them.

Happy days :D
