Bowerbirds

Post by kevin and kay williams »

We have regular visits from the Satin Bowerbirds in our backyard. One comes for a bath each afternoon (Prospect St, Mt Lofty; Grid C3). while in Redwood Park on Saturday morning 1/8/2009 we had several sightings of the Regent Bowerbirds, male 1/2 way down and a pair at bridge.

We also have family group of Satin Bowerbirds in the garden (Niddrie Dve, Middle Ridge)- only occasionally catching sight of a male. However we got home the other day to discover several blue clothes pegs on the ground under the peg basket so we suspect a male might be the culprit as no other pegs were moved.
