White-browed Crake seen at West Byron Bay poo ponds on Thu 11th Feb. See Birdline NSW or ..bird-o.com for further details.
Possibly a first for NSW.
Not on the Summer Beyond wanted list !

White-browed Crake

Post by Mick Atzeni »

Thanks Steve. A truly amazing record!

Will add it to the regional master list along with Long-toed Stint which I've recently learnt was found at Fisherman's Island in Dec 1986 by Chris Corben & Dave Stewart Jr.

Hope the crake hangs around and finds a mate :-)

Cheers

Hey Mick,

You should have a chat to Paul Walbridge, I think I recall him saying Long-toed Stint were seen a couple of times in Murrarie/Lytton as well.
