More magpie geese

Post by Mick Atzeni »

Hot on the heels of Bill's sighting, Steve Burke, Olive Booth, Kay & Kev Williams and I saw four flying north west over Dinner Corner (near railway underpass between Helidon and Grantham; landmark used as eastern border of TBO's local survey area).

Whilst resident further east around Gatton, Magpie Geese are seldom reported in the TBO survey area. There have been only a handful of reports in the last 10 years. Amazing, the effect good rains have on local bird movements.

Also displaying Horsfield's Songlarks in paddock immediately NE of underpass.

Cheers
