Another from PHD
The Barred Cuckoo-shrikes were showing well on yesterday's club outing to Prince Henry Drive. There was also an immature bird.
Varied Triller (new for both the summer and 2010 lists), Cicadabird, Rufous Fantail, Brown Goshawk, Brown Quail (several calling) and a handful of White-throated Needletails were other species of interest but it was generally tough going with only 42 spp seen all up. No lorikeets, small honeyaters, whistlers, monarchs, flycatchers, Brown Thornbills, Regent Bowerbirds, double-bars. Hmmmm.
Butterflies were just starting to warm up as we finished our walk with plenty of Four-barred Swordtails in evidence, a good species to see.
