Musk Lorikeets, Fig Tree Pocket, Brisbane

Post by gileas »

Hi all,

It's been a bit of a struggle to get out birding of late, but I had a flock of ~20 Musk Lorikeets near my house on Sunday and again on Monday. These are normally very unusual birds to see anywhere near Brisbane, but this year there has been a spate of sightings.

I've put together a page of the sightings I know about if people are interested:

Regards,
Chris

ps. I think this means we may have a good year for Swift Parrots, so keep an eye out if you are out looking at lorikeets.

pps. I posted it here because I assume it is new for the Winter 08 Beyond list!
