Wes & I were very excited to spot a Scarlet Robin on our backyard
clothesline today (17th August), our first sighting of this bird in our yard
since we arrived here 30 years ago!

Scarlet Robin
Hi Wes & Norma
Was it a male or female? Any photos? If it turns up again let us know asap please.
I think there are only two accepted Scarlet Robin records for the local area since the club began in 1975. Please complete a Rare Bird report using link on TBO website homepage

so that our Rarities Committee can assess your sighting.
Thanks
Mick

Scarlet Robin UPDATE
Wes and Norma subsequently supplied a photo of this bird, which was a male, perched on their clothesline in Muir St, Harlaxton. There is no doubt about the sighting; an excellent record for Toowoomba.
