Maroochy River and Buderim Forest Park

Post by gileas »

Hi all,

I spent the afternoon at a restaurant on the Maroochy River on Sunday. The tide was just receding after the peak, and an exposed sandbar played host to a cast of hundreds of terns and shorebirds. It was quite a sight and a great show to accompany a great lunch. I finished the day with a quick trip to Buderim Forest Park to try and chase the Superb Fruit Dove that has been hanging around the area for a month, but it was raining and so we had no luck there.

Chris
