Stubble Quail, Chestnut Teal & Collared Kingfisher

Post by Mick Atzeni »

Friend Peter Vernon saw Stubble Quail, along with Brown and an unidentified button-quail, on his Hirstglen property 21/4/11.

My father Laurie and I had a look around the Wynnum area this morning and picked up 45 spp including Chestnut Teal and Collared Kingfisher. Other species of interest were Caspian Tern, Gull-billed Tern, Buff-banded Rail, Mangrove Gerygone, Sacred Kingfisher, Chestnut-breasted Mannikin & Tawny Grassbird.

There was not a wader to be seen unfortunately.

Cheers
Mick
