Bazas flocking

Post by Bill Jolly »

Not new for the season or the year, but noteworthy.

Around 10am on Sunday, 1st May, in Helidon, we heard Bazas calling outside. When we poked our heads out to see what was going on we found around 15 or more Pacific Bazas circling overhead and calling. They continued to gain height until we lost sight of them when they drifted out of view.

Wow! I've read about records of Bazas flocking at the Bunya Mountains years ago. What a sight! Lucky you!
