After a bit of a scare, dad had a pacemaker put in on Monday, so I took the day off and went down to Wynnum to see him today. It was cold and overcast, but I did what any good son would do under the circumstances - took my old man down to look for the White-fronted Honeyeater at Minnippi parklands. :D

Pleased to say we picked it up in within about 5 minutes in exactly the same spot Colin Reid originally found it, and where it has hung about now for over a month. We went there around 11am and the light was awful, but eventually we had good looks when the bird ventured quite low for a little while, about 10m in along the bush track. I'm still blown away by the fact this bird is here, not to mention its site loyalty. Let's hope we can find one in the Toowoomba area.
