New Zealand Storm-petrel, Southport pelagic

Post by gileas »

Hi all,

Huge news from the weekend Southport pelagic, observers saw what was most likely a New Zealand Storm-petrel! Sadly I wasn't among those on board, as they also had an Antarctic Prion, two amazing birds for QLD.

Some photos from Rob Morris of the NZSP:

Southport pelagic 18/6/11 trip report

Further to Chris' posting, here's the trip report from Paul Walbridge. See if you can spot the two lucky ducks from TBO who were on their first pelagic. It's just not fair!
