Sightings within the local survey area for the period 1 Sep 2011 - 30 Nov 2011. The local survey area is a rectangular area extending from Kingsthorpe NW of Toowoomba to the Mt Whitestone/Fordsdale area SE of Helidon.

Great record Bill. I just got back from Mackay and did not see any Channel-billed Cuckoos, Koels or Dollarbirds while I was away.

Pair over home (Niddrie Drive, Middle Ridge) this morning - my first for the season.

See they're already as far south as Sydney with one reported yesterday:

Just for the record, the local Postmaster had a Channel-bill in his garden the day before - so first record for Helidon this year was 7th September.

I heard a Channel-billed Cuckoo near Dwyers Scrub CP (S3) on 24/09/11.
