Highfields Falls

Post by smyliekylie »

Hi everyone,
Just realised I haven't reported my Highfields Falls new birds for Summer Within. Visited on Sunday 18 Dec, 2011. Sat near the top water hole for a couple of hours and it was amazing how the birds just made me feel invisible, they bathed and drank and flew within inches of me, was a memorable experience!
I think the only birds not listed yet are:
Brown Cuckoo Dove
Grey fantail
Brush Turkey
White Naped honey eater

And others I saw were Eastern Yellow Robin, lots of Lewins Honeyeaters, Brown Honeyeater, lots of Rufous Fantails, Leaden Flycatcher, Sacred Kingfisher, Black faced Cuckoo Shrike.

Also would like to wish everyone a happy and safe Christmas, and all the best for an excellent New Year. 2012... bigger, better and more birding!

Cheers,
Kylie :D
