BBBQ and others

Post by gileas »

Hi all,

A few nice sightings from the weekend, some of which are new for the season. One of my co-workers, Lindsay Popple, found a pair of White-browed Woodswallows at the Metroplex Wetlands near the Gateway Bridge late Sunday afternoon. I had some luck with friends at Inskip Point, with BBBQ and Beach Stone-curlew showing well (eventually). I was disappointed to see how much BBBQ habitat has been trampled since last time I was there - whether by campers or birders it is hard to say. If you are going, please stick to the open areas and tracks you really don't need to head into the denser undergrowth to see the birds.

Cheers,
Chris Sanderson
