Seven additions from Redwood Park

Post by Mick Atzeni »

A fog-clad Prince Henry Drive killed the club outing this morning. However, below the fog line in the bottom section of Redwood Park proved quite productive despite poor light. Kylie Grose and I picked up six new species for the season:

Grey Goshawk (pair)
Brown Gerygone (1)
White-naped Honeyeater
Black-faced Monarch (1)
Barred Cuckoo-shrike (pair)
Varied Triller (heard)

Charles Dove also emailed TBO some nice images taken in Redwood on 14th including one of a Spectacled Monarch, a new bird for both summer and 2012.

Also, from Challenge 2012:

Brown-headed Honeyeater 14/1/12 "Tiddalac", 68 Thomas Rd, Upper Lockyer Mick Atzeni

Cheers
Mick
