St Helena Historic Prison

Post by smyliekylie »

Hi folks,
Went to St Helena Historic Prison just off Manly, QLD. Quite an interesting journey, lots of walking and just missed all the rain on Sunday afternoon... and they released me! Phew!
On the Island, saw lots of Rainbow Bee-eaters, Tree Martins, Fairy Martins and Welcome Swallows, Mangrove Honeyeaters, and Australian Pied Oystercatchers, Little Pied Cormorants and Pied Cormorants, Crested Terns, of course seagulls, and one Pelican.
I got to hear a little of the history and interested tid-bits of info, but I was often wandering off trying to get that one shot of the gloriously coloured Rainbow Bee eater.
Cheers,
Kylie :)
