The Hat Trick

Post by Rod Hobson »

Folks,

Got the hat trick of black cockatoos today; Red-tailed Black Cockatoos calling over home about 11.00am then six perched Yellow-tailed Black Cockatoos whilst driving down to collect Elliott traps on "Ridge Prospect" at Hell Hole where I've been working lately. This was about 12.30pm. About twenty minutes after this, while I was gathering up my traps, four Glossy Black Cockatoos flew overhead. I cannot recollect 'scoring' all three of our local black cockies within a single day; within three hours in fact. A single Wonga Pigeon also seen on the drive down to the trap-line.

And the owners of "Ridge Prospect" gave me a tray of mangos into the bargain. Not a bad day at all.

I believe that the Glossies and the Wonga are additions to out "Autumn Within - 2012 list"

Regards,
Rod Hobson
