Comb-crested Jacana

Post by Bill Jolly »

A jacana flew along the creek past the house this-morning, paused briefly on a small agglomeration of lily-pads, then off upstream again.

Despite this being a common enough bird in several close-by locations, it's the first time we've seen one at Abberton.
(Spp 214 for the Abberton list).

Abberton Addition

Nice going, Bill. It would be interesting to track new species at Abberton. That's two within a week and maybe more that I am unaware of.
