Red-chested Button-quail and more

Post by Mick Atzeni »

Four additions from a drive up Penderests Rd into the hills behind Murphy's Creek on Sunday (7/10) with Bill Holmes, Plaxy Barratt and Flavio de Grandis Puchalski.

Red-chested Button-quail (male seen along bush track) - many platelets seen as well. Only my third sighting of this species. Lifer for Plaxy & Flavio.
White-bellied Cuckoo-shrike (heard)
Dusky Woodswallow
Tree Martin

Also many Yellow-tufted Honeyeaters in this area; a very patchy species locally.

Cheers
Mick
