Glen Lomond Park - from Burraway Crt entrance

Toowoomba City Council's various bushland parks are a haven for many species of birds. These parks include Redwood, Jubilee, Nielsen, Duggan, Glen Lomond and Echo Valley South along the escarpment which members regularly visit. The TCC and the wider community need to be made fully aware of the significant biodiversity - and not just birds- within these parks so that they are managed appropriately. Please make your visits count by posting your observations here ...

One year later ...

Quick stroll this arvo with the dog in Glen Lomond (I see I did the same thing this time last year - all my life's a circle!) to see if the White-plumed Honeyeater was still around. No luck in that department and not much blossom left on the Yellow Boxes but Yellow-faced HEs were still fairly common. Picked up the following species:

Peregrine Falcon (1)
Wedge-tailed Eagle (1)
Brown Cuckoo-Dove (2)
Scaly-breasted Lorikeet
Laughing Kookaburra
Variegated Fairy-wren
Spotted Pardalote
Striated Pardalote
Brown Thornbill
Noisy Miner
Yellow-faced Honeyeater
Lewin's Honeyeater
White-naped Honeyeater
Golden Whistler
Eastern Whipbird
Figbird
Torresian Crow
Pied Currawong
Regent Bowerbird (2)
Silvereye

An Eastern Spinebill at home this morning.
