Diamond Dove

Post by Michael Wood »

This afternoon Bill Jolly and myself stopped along Lockyer Creek Road, Helidon, to take some photos of the Red-backed Kingfishers that have been seen along there recently. Whilst doing so, a Diamond Dove was seen (and photographed) almost directly below the kingfisher in a stock yard. There were also three or four red-rumped parrot in the immediate area.

Hello Kylie

As I was not the one who tooks the photographs, it might pay for you to ask Bill Jolly if he is willing to share them. He is normally very happy to do so.

Regards,
Michael

Another one!

Just arrived home to find a Diamond Dove perched on the powerline at the cottage. New bird for "Tiddalac" too! :D

Possibly an influx of drought-driven Diamond Doves happening at the moment. Any other reports?

Cheers
Mick
