more uncommon sightings - maybe dry out west ?
(a) two bustards seen in sorghum stubble and barley crop just north of Mt Tyson on Monday 29 April, flew off to the NE
(b) two sightings of budgerigars on Saturday 27 April in Stoneleigh district and on Sunday 28 April just north of Southbrook

Bustards and other inland birds
Wow Alastair! You've seen some great stuff lately. Be great if bustards show up in our local survey area too and become the 300th species for the official TBO list. Will be scanning the paddocks more carefully.
And yes, the influx of western species can be put down to the deteriorating conditions inland after a couple of bumper breeding seasons.
Cheers
Mick
