Sightings within the local survey area for the period 1 Sep 2013 - 30 Nov 2013. The local survey area is a rectangular area extending from Kingsthorpe NW of Toowoomba to the Mt Whitestone/Fordsdale area SE of Helidon.

White-throated Needletail - at Abberton. Just one bird ahead of a coming storm on 9 November, 2013

Pale-vented Bush-hen - at Abberton. Seen flying across the creek just after a heavy storm this-afternoon 13 November, 2013. Now (10.45pm) calling loudly for the last hour.

Little Corella (is this really on the Spring wanted list?). Present daily at Abberton from 1 October to date.

Crested Shrike-tit - Redwood Park. 2 birds together 1 November, 2013.

Grey Fantail - Redwood Park. 1 November, 2013.

To add to Bill's Redwood sightings, on 10th Nov I recorded Large-billed Scrubwren, Brown Gerygone and Spectacled Monarch.

On 9th Nov, Wonga Pigeon and Satin Bowerbird at Sawpit Gully Rd, Rockmount. (Also Regent Bowerbird and Noisy Pitta)

Today, Cattle Egret today along Postmans Ridge Rd and a Royal Spoonbill at the Helidon Spa.(One Red-necked Avocet still present too.)

Red Wattlebird seen regularly in Toowoomba, including today in Curzon St, East Toowoomba

As reported for the Challenge, a Brown Songlark recorded 14/11/13 along Creedon Rd, Kingsthorpe. Lots of Horsfield's Bushlarks present too.
