Lots more White-throated Needletails

Sightings within the local survey area for the period 1 Sep 2013 - 30 Nov 2013. The local survey area is a rectangular area extending from Kingsthorpe NW of Toowoomba to the Mt Whitestone/Fordsdale area SE of Helidon.

At least 500, but more likely 1000+ WTNTs, moving over "Tiddalac" (Upper Lockyer) in southerly direction along Lockyer Creek around 0845hrs this morning. First I've seen this season.

Please report all sightings of swifts, including estimated numbers, so Professor Mike Tarburton can include them in his national reports. Last season's can be viewed here:
