Painted Snipe and Regent Honeyeater

Post by Russ Lamb »

In my last post I somehow ommitted one of the best birds of the trip, an Painted Snipe found by Steve McBride in a backwater bay of the Stanley River at Villeneuve in the last hours of the trip on the 11/10. What an oversight!
And the next big surprise was the arrival of a single Regent Honeyeater at Cove Rd Stanmore late last week. First seen on the 24/10, Maria and I saw it on the 25/10 and it was mercilessly ticked by many folk over the weekend.
Additions to Spring Beyond.
