That fills in some gaps! Can you just confirm the Varied Triller was not meant to be White-winged?

Yes, fair question! It was a Varied. Had White-winged here on 2nd Dec and Varied on 9th - only the fourth Varied Triller for Abberton. Renewed plantings since the flood are already making a restorative difference to the place. Can't say that is the sole reason, but e.g. Rufous Fantail and Black-faced Monarch in recent days (Monarch for last four days)- plus Little, Shining and Black-eared Cuckoos, and our passing-through Satin Flycatcher. It's a great autumn! The Abberton list for this month is currently at 114 spp (Sunday, 16th March)
