White-winged Fairy-wren eastern extension

Post by Michael Wood »

Two Saturday's ago now I visited a property called 'Wallangara', approximately 15 kilometres west of Warwick, not far from the western shoreline of Lake Leslie, and east of Durikai State Forest. Whilst there, I watched a party of no less than five White-winged Fairy-wren moved amongst some shrubs along a fenceline, in the usual manner. I thought at the time that these birds were a long way further east from where recent reports had put them and speaking to Mick A today he agreed.
